Description for San Tan Park Trail Loop
The San Tan Trail loops around a good portion of the park, and intersects with many other trails in the system. this is a good place for beginners, and anyone in the mood for a nice easy ride. There is not much in terms of singletrack, and a good amount of sandy washes. You can explore the different trails, some (like Stargazer) are short but fun little downhills with small bumps for a little bit of air time. The 2010 entrance cost is $6 per vehicle.
The trail is well ridden by locals and tourists and has some epic views and inspiring riding around the red rocks creek crossings and foothill mesas. It is a challenge for beginners, but has a great flow for the advanced rider.
Part of the ride can only be described as a ski resort equivalent for world class mountain biking. This entire area can supply a rider with a week of new rides.
The trail can be enjoyed by families and is in close proximity to parking facilities at bell rock.
