Description for Holbert Trail South Mountain
This is a very technical trial, but very fun. lots of drops and tons of rocks. beginners are not suggested to attempt. trail starts at Dobbins Lookout access via main road up the mountain, left of the radio towers. body armor is suggested as well. take at least two vehicles unless you want to ride 6 miles up the paved mountain road before you even touch dirt. south mountain park is full of trails for all levels of rider.
Extremely rocky, some steep downhill sections with large "step" drops. If you bring two cars and research the trail map and parking arrangements before hand you can make it a fun shuttle ride. This is a burly trail, don't expect super fast speeds, this is a technical trail. Beginners should not ride this trail. Still, this is a fantastic trail!
Directions to Holbert Trail South Mountain Trailhead
from i10 exit west on baseline rd, continue on baseline until central ave, left (south) on central. continue until inside park. keep following main road up mountain towards dobbins lookout. park at lookout and ride down, into the canyon

This trail is very technical and not for beginers. Now for those of you that love a great downhill ride with a few drops mixed in with a few technical switchbacks, you will love this trail.
