Description for Sunset Trail
We put this trail in our advanced/expert category, you should be confident in your bike handling skills, have good cardio (there is climbing), and be slightly crazy for the descent. The trail is narrow, highly technical and there are a lot of places where a mistake could be costly and quite painful.
Intermediate riders should look elsewhere, this would not be a fun hike-a-bike and you will likely regret the decision to ride the trail.

Rode this trail on a drive from California to Maine, stopped in Flagstaff for the night and biked to the top of Mt Elden on fire road from Schultz parking area, great ride. The trek up was tough but rewarding; took an hour and fifteen to the top near the antenna area, then down over numerous single track...pure bliss.
