Description for Flagstaff to Grand Canyon
We know people that have done this ride in a day, however we recommend making it a two day adventure. The trail is about 70 miles on fireroads. So it is not a question of skill, the trail is easy, it is a question of endurance, the ride is looooong. Bring tons of food and water, a bivy sack or something to sleep in (it gets cold at night) and carry extra common repair items (a flat out here with no replacement or repair kit would be terrible). If you don't want to travel self contained (meaning carrying all your gear), have a support vehicle meet you midway.
