This trail is an OK ride if you are looking for something non-technical but a little challenging. It is an old overgrown road, and closer to a double track than a single track. The first 1.5 miles is mostly uphill; then you drop in to a tighter trail just before the second gate. From here you ride through the woods on a rolling trail. At about mile 3 you will cross the namesake creek; definitely rideable but just hard enough to be fun. Then you will climb for awhile before getting back to rolling trail. Just after 5 miles the trail is closed to bikers. Here you turn around and ride back, it will be much faster than the ride out.
This trail is overgrown, little used and there were many fresh bear signs, even for Alaska, so ride in a group and be bear prepared.
