Description for Wheeler Wildlife Refuge
The Wheeler Wildlife Refuge trails are not really ideal mountain biking. The loose gravel makes grinding along the trail hardly worth it. Of course this creates a nice workout but there are better places to ride. The area is beautiful and if you are desperate to ride somewhere new you should check it out, otherwise there are other good options nearby. Those new to mountain biking may want to give it a chance, it is a good place to get your wheels off the pavement.
