Description for Colonial Hills
Colonial Hills is a good ride, the trail is mostly singletrack that was built for motorcycles in the 1980's. However it can no longer be used by motorcycles so the mountain bikers have it pretty much to themselves. Be sure to give this trail a lot of time to dry out after rain (around a week is good), because the trails are not purpose built for biking they where not engineered to drain water so it is standing water and mud are all to common. There are some cool technical sections and some stuff that is really challenging on the bike, if you are a skilled rider this trail is definitely worth checking out. Maintenance has not been that great lately, but with a little TLC this could be one of the best rides in the area. There is a fair amount of climbing which is rewarded with some great downhill action.
