Also, how long after posting a trail on the full site does it take to post to the app?

same here, I had an assumption that adding trails from the iphone would be a core feature. I can more easily locate places to ride from my pc, but recording new trails and sharing them from my mobile device directly to the community would make this app valuable.

If you add a new trail to the site, it will be validated and added to the next version of the app. What we have found is that adding trails from the phone means that people add a lot of garbage (my back yard jumps, etc), this clutters up the app and creates frustration when people drive to trails that don't actually exist. Our goal is simple in that we want to provide quick and easy access to legal trails that are open to the public. If you look at other sites there are tons of closed trails, trails that no longer allow biking, and garbage data that is difficult to search through.
If you can provide us with a reasonable argument as to why it would be a good function, we would be happy to add it. But keep in mind that a lot more data would appear in the app that may or may not be actual trails.

I added a trail called Healy Denali AK. You may feel it worth while to add as a ride. So many people spend time at Denali but there are no trails there. Most people rent bikes and ride into Denali on the road, but I didn't want to fight traffic and the dust so just headed out on an ATV trail. The folks where I rented the bike at http://www.denalioutdoorcenter.com/ gave me an overview of where to go out their front door, then I kinda freelanced a little.

Would it be possible to have a user rating system (like ebay) that only lets you post trails after you have ridden and reviewed trails. and you would be banned from posting after getting bad review on your trail?singletrack wrote:
