I just bought a 29 love it, been able to do great jumps and the trail much easier to tackle--gcp

I have 2 of them and 26er. One 29er is a Salsa rigid, the other a GF Paragon, HT. Prefer 29er, all things considered. Been riding a 29 for 5 years. First one was GF x-caliber, it got stolen in CO (anybody seen it?) then another GF x-cal, broke frame which GF then upgraded me to the Paragon.
My only regret was getting my FS GF HiFi Deluxe in 26 vs. 29. Live and learn.

Just got GF x-cal 29er in southeastern NC. I love the larger wheels on the root-covered single track out here. Very smooth!

I just got a 2011 specialized stumpjumper comp 29 and am loving it! In the three months that I've had it, I've blown past my 26 buddies and only once have I encountered an obstacle they could tackle and j couldn't, a very tight turn on switchbacks. All specialized 2011 s are on closeout now, so go before they're all gone! The 2011 are better than the 2012 in my opinion.
